The original Italian gearbox components have been out of production for many years, making these SIL items an obvious and economic solution.
The ratios of the 3rd & 4th gears are closer on the Indian scooter than with the Italian DL/GP models. It is advantageous to find the correct gear ratios, especially with tuned.

To check/adjust the end float clearance of the assembled gear shaft a thrust washer feeler gauge (#60824000) is also available. Do not forget to order a new selector cruciform and fresh gearbox oil!
