FA ITALIA Plate Luggage Rack Rear Piaggio 150 Vespa LX Ie 2009-2011 Xfi
SPREAD THE LOVE
Rear luggage rack plate, FA FA for Vespa LX / LXV / S 50-150ccm chrome, for original PIAGGIO top box The products made by FA Italia are definitely Made in Italy ‘. Their range of chrome accessories are heavily based on the design of the PIAGGIO OE elements, at significantly lower prices, with no loss of production or quality of chrome plating. The weld seams are in order, precise and all elements have an engraved FA Italia logo on display to make their origin beyond any doubt. FA Italia is one of the first manufacturers to be able to offer the full range in a beautiful black shade that adds a particularly sporty touch, in combination with the current OE blue, white or orange decals. Their front support is attached to the scooter by hanging over the top edge of the legshields using the rubber coated hooks incorporated into the design. The frame of the scooter does not need to be punctured or otherwise damaged, in order to securely fix this carrier. Further this carrier is also attached to the lower frame by means of an angular mounting plate, thus providing a solid platform on which the heaviest and most bulky loads can be carried. The distance between the main carrying surface and the bottom of the lighthouse is 23.5cm. The rear carrier is connected to the frame by four screws. Although the existing grab bar must be removed during installation the carrier itself has a grab bar that the passenger can use instead. To adequately mask the ugly frame fixing points we recommend the use of the chrome Vespa logo covers. (# PI623336) Their roof rack is ideal for carrying a color matched OE PIAGGIO top case, or any other manufacturer, with good reason! Their crashbar systems for both the front fender and those for both side panels are firmly attached to the scooter using mounting bolts. The paint is protected at the attachment points using self-adhesive felt pads and the crashbars protect the side panels that are attached to the frame with long screws used on the existing passenger peg mechanism and at the rear of the frame. They may not be quite as stable as the PIAGGIO OE elements, but the protection against scratches and smaller bumps more than adequately. Conclusion: most definitely worth considering due to their general appearance and overall quality, being so close to that of the original PIAGGIO elements! SIP-TIP: Complete the look with other chrome accessories such as a yummy lamp rim, snazzy horncover trim and steering decoration fitting. SIP user community: ‘Fredjahn’ on (# FA0020) “The fit is perfect! They don’t need any modifications to do and put them on properly at all, I just added a couple of rubber pads to protect the paint around the rear fixings! They won’t rust either, if you take care of them properly. “Information: To mount the successful roof rack to the Vespa S 50-150cc models, two mounting bolts (# PI259349) for under the seat and two more for the mounting position on the rear of the frame (# 31.091.000) are required, as these models left the factory without standard handrails. To finish the job correctly, a cover for the fixing screws (# PI623336) is also needed. On Vespa ‘S’ models the Vespa logo, usually found at the rear of the frame, must first be removed to reveal luggage rack mounting holes. ### 657083 (PIAGGIO)
