“The Vespa’s monocoque chassis was revolutionary at its time of introduction and was quickly established as the defining feature of every Vespa model produced by. The oldest scooters around today have often twisted frames from past accident-damage, have rusted through in certain places or have suffered the attentions of angle grinders “customisers.” There is only one realistic solution to these problems a new chassis! Unfortunately, PIAGGIO produce no more frames for any of their Vespa models previously available in the aforementioned late PX range. Due to the fact that high-quality chassis parts for these remaining models (such as side panels, fenders and replacement chassis panels) have been in production for a while, it was only a matter of time until some frames would also be made available alternative spare parts. These frames are assembled and welded together using exactly the same type of renowned construction jigs used on original PIAGGIO production lines. Once again, (almost) all Smallframe frame types are back! Vespa 50 1/S 1/90 1: The shortest frame type with smaller side panels, square emblem, smaller tank and floors. Vespa 50 S 2: The shorter frame with larger side panels, square emblem. Vespa 50 2 / L / R / S 2/90 2: The frame is longer with larger side panels. Vespa 50 SS 90 SS: Instantly identifiable and an ideal basis for an SS model conversion or replica project! Vespa 125 / PV / ET-3: The chassis is longer with larger side panels and the left side panel hatch. VMA and PV 1 models require the steering lock and floor guides from PV/ET-3 models. Notice: All these chassis are delivered without chassis number or VIN. The original chassis number must be stamped on the replacement chassis before it can be legally used on the open road!
