Every Lambretta rider and mechanic knows the problem: the miniature Allen locking screws for the gear control cables are quickly worn or already completely rounded, making their instalment fiddly and time-consuming. There are versions available equipped with a slightly larger 3.5mm Allen grub screw, but the tool required to operate it is not usually found in the tool kit on board of your scooter, but at home or in the workshop. Even if the commonly available cable nipples are as new and all the correct tools are present, their mounting is not an easy job. They first require positioning in the opening on the rocker lever, then the operating cable has to be threaded through the tiny eyelet. This can become especially challenging as the area is not easily accessible and the nipple often falls through the opening before the
