Cristian Mazelli is a dedicated Vespa enthusiast and has been most active on the Italian racing scooter scene for many years. During his time as a runner he was constantly faced with material problems and part quality he deemed as unsuitable for the task at hand. To ease these supply bottlenecks he decided to use his career-based knowledge of industrial research and development to create parts under his own name which he now markets under the ‘CRIMAZ’ logo. Solutions with attention to every detail combined with excellent quality are the results! The CM5 Top is the strongest in this range of clutches made by CRIMAZ. It has five clutch plates and fits under a standard clutch cover without the need for a lining surface spacer. This is made possible by combining the clutch with the CRIMAZ input shaft, primary drive repair kit and clutch basket. Its overall design is based on the original clutch found in the Vespa PV/ET3 models, with its central spring operation. The kit includes five 1.5 mm thick friction plates, four 2 mm thick hardened separator plates, two reinforced springs, a circlip with a fastening mechanism and a thrust plate equipped with a bearing. Due to the stiffer spring action, we recommend the use of a Vespa PK XL2 engine clutch cover or the kit manufactured by CRIMAZ (#87723000).
