A dream project for many power fetishists and ambitious tuners is the adaptation of a cylinder from a more powerful and advanced vehicles motor to fit their classic geared scooters engine. The cylinders conceived for use in ultra-light aircraft are especially well suited for this challenging form of scooter tuning.

SIMONINI produce motors for this airborne purpose, equipped with suitably compact air cooled cylinders. Not only their aeronautic origin qualifies these cylinders as spectacular, but they also function quite impressively too! Power outputs of between 50 and 60 PS have already been achieved with the assistance of this cylinder. This sort of performance requires extensive porting and enlargement etc. Even without tuning work this cylinder is still capable of producing 30 PS, making it very useful in everyday traffic conditions.
