The headlights of classic Vespa scooters never were anything much to write home about. Around the turn of the century the clear glass headlights did make a difference, but it still wasn??t light in the dark really. The big buzzword in lighting in recent years has been LED. The semiconductors require little current and not much room either for a particularly bright headlight. The downside though often is the look. Many aftermarket LED headlights only impress with their decidedly unimpressive design. A definite drawback on vintage scooters in particular.
