The inner ring is knurled during production to ensure that that the HD Polymer outer ring stays in place even during the most demanding applications. The high proportion of PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) in the outer jacket provides good self-lubrication and therefore a long service life. The sliding properties of PTFE also ensure a ease of movement during operation.
